Toyota Rav4


The Toyota Rav4 was introduced in Japan and Europe in 1994 and its name is an abbreviation of  ‘Recreational Active Vehicle with 4-wheel drive’.  This is the smallest model in Toyota’s SUV family and targets young consumers looking for a used car that provides ample cargo space, high visibility, the option of four-wheel, is easy drive and records impressive fuel efficiency figures.

The Toyota Rav4 has evolved over three generations and the latest range is available in three trim levels, Base, Sports and Limited. Engine options include a four-cylinder, 2.5 litre, producing 179bhp, with impressive acceleration or there is the powerful, high performance, 3.5 litre V6, with five-speed automatic transmission.

The car gives a comfortable ride, has light steering, an impressive braking system and stability control. Optional extras include a range of enhanced exterior accessories and a sports suspension system. The Limited version has a number of exclusive extras and a choice of luxury features.

The interior of the car has a high quality finish, with an airy feel to it. The controls have been thoughtfully positioned to enhance the driver’s comfort, exactly where one would expect them to be. The flat, folding and reclining seats are comfortable and driver and passenger seats move back and forth by approx six inches. The car is also available with the option of third row seating. The Toyota Rav4 has an impressive cargo space, large swing out tailgate and a low floor, to aid loading and unloading.
